Well, I'm getting to be a lazy blogger, but i'm blogging none the less! I have a question for all those who read my blog. How do you cook a "frozened" meal without the sogginess? I made enchiladas and put them in my freezer and I cooked them the other night. I was really excited and quite proud that I had dinner "ready" and even put place mats on the table to make it a big deal. well, needless to say....the enchiladas were soggy and i was nauseous the rest of the night. What did i do wrong?!!!!! HELP ME! i'm not very domestic!
Next item. Who took my perfect daughter who sleeps through the night and takes long naps all day long? I'm missing her very much and would like her back! In the meantime, i'm working with this stranger who i call Kylee to teach her that she can't wake up 3 times in the night demanding to be fed, or threatening to cry for hours at a time if she doesn't get it! It's going to be a long week! oh wait, it already has been: bring on week two of getting to know this stranger whom i love and adore.

I feel for you with the no sleeping...Tyler is almost 2 and still doesn't require much sleep! Hang in there!!
I'm with you wen it comes to soggy frozen dinners!!! It's so frusterating! I'll wait to hear what other's say in their comments to know what to do!!!
I'm afraid I don't know much about unfreezing food either. But, I do have a recommendation for the sleeping issues. We got a book called "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" and we have loved it. I really recommend it. We don't do everything it suggests, but it has helped us a lot to know what is normal, what helps, what is detrimental, etc. It's by Dr. Marc Weisenbluth or something like that. Good luck! Sam was not a good napper for a while (it seemed like a long while), but he's gotten better. Hopefully she'll get better too.
Oh no! The food was soggy? I will have to wait to cook mine till we figure out an answer then! Did you thaw it out before cooking it? As for sleep suggestions...haha, I am happy to get 2 hours in a row now so when you figure something out let me know! :)
I am not sure why your enchiladas were soggy. The times I have had frozen enchiladas, I just make 'em, freeze 'em and then cook 'em. Not sure why yours would have been soggy. Sorry to hear that Kylee has been a little more difficult lately. Maybe she is getting some teeth. K was a champion sleeper and when she starting teething she wasn't so great. They start to feel pain well before a little tooth breaks through. Hyland's teething tablets were a life saver!
I would say freeze your food before you cook it and cook it the day you want it....sleep advise, let me know if you find a solution! Can't wait! May! I am excited! Love you!!
Chel,
Isn't it crazy how one day your child decides they don't want to sleep at night anymore. That makes for one cranky child and mommy. the only thing I can think of is maybe she is going through a growth spurt. My doctor told me they go through growth spurts at 6 weeks, 4 months, and 6 months. So maybe that is it. If that is it then it shouldn't last long.
Anyway I am ready for another play date when you are! Call me!
