School

Well, as most know, school has started. I however am taking the semester off!! I decided that it would be a lot better to not cram in extra stress along with having a baby. I'm extremely relieved! I will begin my RN year in the spring and then finish the following fall semester. This means that we won't be moving from Weber/ Ogden for another year and a half. I have mixed feelings about it, but never the less, it's what seems right for us. In the mean time, I'm getting ready for baby! It's been so much fun. We've painted some furniture and arranged all of our clothes and accesories for the baby. Even though it's still "7" weeks away, we are ready for her right now! It's been so amazing to feel the changes with this trimester. There is DEFINATELY a baby inside of me. :) I can feel her moving ALL the time, and she is stronger than she used to be so it's very uncomfortable when she pushes on me, but there's just no where for her to go! I'll have to get some pictures up on my blog, but it'll take awhile.
Living in Ogden for almost a year has definately led to thoughts a year ago when we moved in. We've really made O town our home for now. Some things I like about Ogden are:
1. My ward/ calling- I love the people that I serve with and I love the way we all survive the neighborhood together.
2. I love my landlord/neighbor Ray. WHat a GREAT man!
3. Rent is CHEAP! period.
4. It's far enough away from family, but close enough to visit them whenever I'd like
5. I have a garage
6. We have our pick of ANY stray cat. We have unnoficially adopted one and she is very cute. I even feed her gravy from sunday dinners for a treat. She loves us.
7. The temple is right down the street. literally!
8. The wait at the DMV in Weber county is a grand total of 5 minutes. No Joke! In Salt Lake it's about an hour!
9. I have a Wal Mart in either direction from my house that takes hardly any time at all to get to.
10. Pineview resservoir is 12 minutes from my house. I can drive that long and feel totally secluded from the "city" and bask in the mountain air.
11. I'm close to campus
12. Our apartment came with a hide-a-bed
13. I've become accustomed to the sound of rap music and thumping bass driving down my street, with a mother and her child in the car atleast once a day.
14. I've gotten into the habit of locking EVERY door and every window that I own. We even lock our trunk.
15. I've learned how to tell the signs of a "drug house" and what to do to get them caught. I've also attended a neighborhood watch meeting.
16. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to find homeless drunk men with hammers sleeping on the porch next door to me. (I'm lucky he didn't pick my doorstep!)
17. The front runner station is also right down the street from me. It's free for me and air conditioned. I love this new from of transportation!

Well, that's about all I can think of for now. Pretty much anywhere I live with my WONDERFUL hard working husband will be home to me and we'll make the best of it~! Bring it on for another year and a half!

Ogden didn't seem that bad when I went up there. Yeah, kind of run down but you got all those super cool buildings of downtown. So worth it.

That's a great attitude! Your place is great and if it's cheap, that is even better. Now is the time to reign it all in and get what you need to done, so you can enjoy later! So fun to hear about the baby growing bigger. She will be here before you know it!

hey Chels!
Wow... it's crazy to see you all grown up, married, and having babies! I can't help but still just remember you and T as 10 year olds fighting. ;) I'm glad you tracked down our blog. Blogstalking can be so much fun. ;) I hope that your baby is treating you well and still letting you sleep at night! It's so much fun!
