Doctor's orders...not as nice as it sounds

Well, for those who haven't heard, I've been put on 6 hours bed rest because the baby could possibly be coming too early and they're worried about it. I'm at the end of week two with this doctor's order and I'm getting used to it. BUT, for all those who think that it is bliss...let me inform you. Resting all day long is not as nice as it sounds. :) I'm a little bored and mostly just sick of tv! Thanks to those who visited me recently and those who have donated books and movies for my entertainment. They have saved my sanity! Don't be alarmed though...I should make it full term it's just a precaution and the baby is not at any health risk. She's doing great! She will give you a little kick just to prove it! I think she might become a gymnast someday because I'm sure she's doing flips in my tummy! It's so fun to feel her moving around. The other day Jeremy said the most obvious but cute statement ever. He randomly came up to me and said "I already love our baby so much!" It was so sweet and I'm excited that he's just as excited as me to have a little baby coming.

On a different note...I PASSED MY NCLEX EXAM!!!!! I'm now officially and LPN. I got my results back last week (the same day the doc told me that I have to be on "reduced activity and rest for 6 hours a day" ) So, yes, unfortunately that means I cannot work as an LPN and am currently holding the job of CEO of my household. It's a wonderful life though and I'm sure that the timing of all this (although not as I had planned it to carry out) has been quite interesting and I'm sure that Heavenly Father is watching over us and helping us to learn what He needs us to learn! SO, if any one wants to visit good 'ol ogden, come on up and visit me! I'd love to see you! I'm most likely going to be home~! Does anyone have any good books to suggest????

I'm glad your baby is ok. I had to be on bed rest with Libby at the end of my pregnancy for like 2 weeks and you are right, it gets very boring. But I guess it's always better to be safe! Hang in there!! It is all worth it when you get that sweet baby in your arms....then you'll wish for the days when you could just rest!! So try your best to enjoy relaxing while you can!!

Laying around for six hours everyday would get terribly boring! Have you read the Twilight series? They aren't super deep,(cotton candy for the brain), but they are entertaining and fun. I also loved Kiterunner. That is pretty heavy though. Goosegirl by Shannon Hale is a really fun read too.

chel! congrats on passing your n-clex! i passed mine, too. all that studying, stress and worry really paid off, huh? so sorry to hear that you can't be working thoguh. bed rest sounds nice - for like a day maybe! i'm sorry that i don't have any suggestions for any great books or anything - how bout the boo of mormon? i've never been a big reader. i think if i were put on bed rest then all i would do is blog stalk and read those silly articles on MSN that say '91 ways to save money' or 'easy beauty trick.' hmmm, that makes me sounds extremely shallow...

Yea, it get's boring all to soon. Just like those who think it's great being pregnant cuz you can eat as much as you want and anything you want, it gets old real fast having to eat constantly & nothing sounds good. A good book I enjoyed is The Red Tent (my mom has a copy) & Goose Girl. Good luck!
